Kathryn Newman - is the owner and creator of Augusta Dog Training, a successful in-home pet training company that specializes in developing canine good manners and solving behavioral problems. She has been training professionally for over 25 years and is considered a leading behavioral consultant in the Twin Cities.
A regular featured guest on KARE-11 Television, an NBC affiliate station located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kathryn is also credited with regular appearances on “Minnesota Bound” and on ESPN’s “Backroads with Ron
and Raven.” Kathryn also appears on Tritronics “Basic Training” video and routinely provides behavioral and training seminars for area veterinary clinics and Argosy’s veterinary technician program. |
Kathryn passion is training her dogs. She successfully competes with her dogs in obedience, field, tracking and conformation events with Best In Show Honors, Championship, Master Hunter, Tracking and Utility obedience titles to her credit. |
She is also an approved AKC Hunt Test Judge and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Kathryn is also a breeder of both Golden and Labrador Retrievers.
Prior to creating Augusta Dog Training, she was a marketing and sales executive for local and regional Invisible Fence organizations.
Kathryn lives in Montgomery, Minnesota with her husband Dave Bornhofen their daughter Rose. |
