Minnehaha Off-Leash Dog Park
This is a very popular off-leash dog park located within Minnehaha Regional Park. It has over 4 acres of fenced-in space for dogs to run and play. There are separate areas for large and small dogs. The park is open year-round, and it even has areas with shade and seating for owners.
Battle Creek Off-Leash Dog Park
Battle Creek Regional Park in St. Paul has a large off-leash dog area with both wooded trails and open spaces. The fenced-in area is over 9 acres. The park is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.. There are picnic tables, there is plenty of shade, and there are even running water fountains for the dogs.
Hidden Falls Off-Leash Dog Area
Within St. Paul’s Hidden Falls Regional Park is a 4.5-acre off-leash dog area. It features open space as well as wooded trails along the Mississippi River. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.. But the off-leash area is most popular in the early morning and evenings when it’s cooler out.
Theodore Wirth Off-Leash Dog Park
This off-leash area in Theodore Wirth Regional Park features 5 acres of fenced space including both open lawn space and wooded areas. It has picnic tables, shade and water fountains. The park is located in Golden Valley, just west of Minneapolis. It is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m..
Lowry Nature Center Off-Leash Dog Area
The Lowry Nature Center in Victoria, Minnesota — about 20 minutes west of the Twin Cities — features a 2-acre off-leash dog park. It has open grassy areas as well as paved trails through the woods. The park is open Thursday to Monday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.. It’s a great area if you want to take your dogs out for an adventure in a natural setting.
